There day concert in Frankfurt 1973 black Sabbath never showed, but this band made the concert!!!!!ad I was leaving the stadium I heard Nazareth .....they took Sabbath's place and didn't know till too late Boooooooo!!!!!!

Am 21.6.1975 gaben sich Uriah Heep im münchner Krone Bau die Ehre. Aber weit mehr beeindruckt war ich von der Vorgruppe HEAVY METAL KIDS ! Da schleppte der abgedrehte Sänger GARY HOLTON meterlange Eisenketten über die Bühne, wälzte sich in Zwangsjacke über den Boden, provozierte und röhrte wie besoffen die fetzigen Glamrock-Songs. Das Charisma eines ausgebombten Strichers und eines durchgeknallten Rockstars. Trash per excellence. 1978 wollten die SEX PISTOLS ihn sogar als Nachfolger von Johnny Rotten anheuern... Leider lag er bald unter der Erde

Geile Version, schade das Gary so früh verstorben ist, ich hab hmk in 1976 gesehen aber danach nie wieder was von gehört, aber ich habe die Truppe nie vergessen und später konnte ich durch Internet die Spur wieder aufnehmen, schön das es noch andere gibt die diesen verrückten noch gedenken...

Back in 74/75 they were compared ( along with Silverhead) by some in the French music press to Iggy and the Stooges . They were seen as their potential heirs : not quite right i think as this band is - obviously !- more " English" in its approach. More deliberately funny and sarcastic with its music less loose, more constructed, less "basic", probably more " technical" in a classic way. And more "theatrical" too in . Less original too i find Mind you i love both bands!

Wow! This song kicks ass! Is this the same band that was playing kinda glam rock just a few years prior to this? That opened once for KISS in NYC? I hear the Sex Pistols in this song. Excellent!

Saw them so many times in Brum in the 70s - blew the house down every time. Came to Bangor when I was at Uni and had the privilege to meet Gary over the pool table and several beers. What a guy - really nice but with a wild look in his eye. Then went on stage and blew the roof off. Such a loss but fantastic memories. 🙏
